This page is a reference for personnel and coordinators. Signed forms are collected and countersigned during onboarding by an authorized One Light representative, screened, and retained under the Document Retention Policy. Complete the Compliance Onboarding Course alongside your packet.

How to read the “if applicable” items

The documents in the packet

Onboarding steps

  1. Identify the person’s role and the project they are joining.
  2. Collect the required and applicable documents from the matrix for that role.
  3. Have the person read and sign each one, with the project named on every form. An authorized One Light representative countersigns.
  4. Run sanctions screening (and safeguarding screening where required) before the person begins, and keep the result with the signed forms.
  5. File the signed forms in the person’s record and retain them under the Document Retention Policy.
  6. Re-sign the annual items (Conflict of Interest) each year, and re-sign project-specific items for each new project.
Local partners and Dawah Hero trainees. People engaged through a local partner community or trained as Dawah Heroes who act for One Light sign at least the Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, and Anti-Terrorism acknowledgments, plus any other document that fits their role. Their organization is also bound through the partner agreement and the MOU.
