Anti-Extremism Policy
One Light International teaches an inclusive, mercy-centered understanding of Islam. We hold a zero-tolerance standard against extremism in every form, and every policy below is a binding condition of working with us.
What we stand for
We promote a mercy-centered, mainstream understanding of Islam, contextualized to local cultures, while avoiding sectarian rhetoric or division. Every community we serve is engaged on its own terms, with respect for local norms and customs.
What we prohibit
- Any advocacy of violent or radical ideology, by anyone acting in our name.
- Support, in any form, for extremism, terrorism, or partisan political activity.
- Content or speakers that have not been reviewed by our Shura Council for doctrinal soundness and community relevance.
How we enforce it
Every director, officer, employee, volunteer, and traveling daʻī agrees in writing to our Code of Conduct, which binds them to lawful conduct and to this standard. Partners and local hubs we work with are vetted and bound to the same standard before any relationship begins (see our Anti-Terrorism & Sanctions Policy). Violations result in corrective action up to and including removal, and referral to authorities where warranted.
