One Light International is committed to treating the people it serves and employs fairly and with dignity.
Equal opportunity
One Light does not unlawfully discriminate in its employment practices or in the delivery of its programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, age, sex, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Religious organization status
One Light is a religious organization whose mission is Islamic education and dawah. Federal and state law recognize the right of a religious organization to carry out its religious mission and to make faith-based decisions in matters connected to that mission, including in the selection of those who carry out religious functions. This policy is applied consistently with the Organization’s religious character and the rights afforded to religious organizations under the law.
Anti-harassment
We prohibit harassment of any person by anyone acting on our behalf: unwelcome conduct that demeans, intimidates, or creates a hostile environment, or any abuse of authority over a beneficiary, volunteer, or colleague.
Reporting a concern
Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination or harassment may report it through our contact form. Reports are protected from retaliation and investigated promptly.
